DB2EEE_NODE Database Administration menu


The Database Administration menu for the DB2EEE_NODE application class is available by clicking on the DB2EEE_NODE container icon, and then right-clicking on a DB2 node icon. You can access the following submenus and menu commands:

  • Applications Mgmt menu
  • Database Mgmt menu
  • Database Modes menu
  • Node Mgmt menu

Applications Mgmt menu

Menu command

Description

List Applications

displays a list of all the applications connected to the active DB2 Database Manager (DBM) instance

List DCS Applications

displays a list of all the applications connected to a single node in an active DB2 session and to list all DCS applications associated with the node

Database Mgmt menu

Menu command

Description

Create Database at Node

creates a database on a selected node

Drop Database at Node

removes a database at a node

Backup Database

performs a database backup on a selected node

Restore Database

rebuilds a damaged or corrupted database from a backup copy

Rollforward Database

recovers a database by applying transactions that have been recorded in the database log files

Schedule Backup

schedules a database backup for a single node at a specified time and date

Display History File

displays entries in the recovery history file

Prune History File

prunes history files, which allows you to delete entries occurring after a specified timestamp from the recovery history file

Database Modes menu

Menu command

Description

Start DBM at Node

starts a DB2 Database Manager (DBM) instance on a single node

Stop DBM at Node

stops a DB2 DBM instance on a single node

Node Mgmt menu

Menu command

Description

Add Node to Database

adds a node to the parallel database system, creating an empty partition for every database in the instance

Drop Node Verify

verifies if the node exists in the nodegroups of any databases

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
