Viewing DBM statistics

In PATROL for DB2 UDB you can get a variety of statistics about a DB2 EEE instance. This information helps you analyze the status of your current configuration and focus on specific areas that might need adjustments.

In addition to displaying the DBM configuration file discussed in the preceding task, you can display the db2nodes configuration file as described in the following procedure.

The reports that you can generate provide an array of information about application activities and other critical elements in the instance.

To list the node configuration for a DB2 Instance

Right-click on the DB2EEE instance icon and select DB2 Node Administration > List Node Configuration.

The db2nodes.cfg file is displayed, which lists the node number, host name, logical port, and netname, in tabular format.

To run reports that give information about applications running in the instance

  1. Right-click the DB2EEE instance icon and select Reports.
  2. select one of the following commands to run a report:

To run reports that gather DBM statistics at the node

To run a correlation of parameter values for all nodes

Right-click on the DB2EEE instance icon and select Correlate Parameters.

This task is explained in more detail in Correlating parameter values across nodes.
