Using SQL Viewers to monitor database activity

To record and view SQL statement activity in a database, use the SQL Viewer facility available in the database object window. The SQL_VIEWER icon enables you to create SQL Viewer instances through which you can use the following commands to control the viewer activity:

  • Start SQL Viewer
  • Stop SQL Viewer
  • View SQL Information
  • Clear Viewer

The SQL Viewer facility is explained in detail in Using the SQL Viewer facility. The SQL Explain function is also explained in that section.
