Enabling debugging

Problems that can occur in your distributed-system environment can hinder the performance of the KM. To assist you in diagnosing problems with the KM, particularly with monitoring activities associated with a DB2 instance, you can use debugging commands in the DB2 EEE instance menu. The debug menu also provides problem resolution tools that can assist with extreme problems, such as excessive channel failures.

From the Debug menu, select the following commands:

  • Debug Switches
  • Diagnostic Message Help
  • Resync Blocked Channel
  • Resync db2km_server.eee
  • Stop db2km_server.eee

Note

The Debug Switches command is available for debugging the commands and parameters activity in all KM application classes, where applicable.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
