Refreshing parameter values

Use this task to refresh the values for all parameters associated with a DB2 DBM instance, database, node, agent, or diagnostic log. You can also refresh all the parameter values being collected by a particular collector. The Refresh Parameters command is found in most of the application class menus where applicable.

To refresh parameters

Right-click on the appropriate DB2 object icon and select RefreshParameters.

To refresh collector values

Right-click on a collector icon and select Update from the menu.

This action refreshes values for all consumer parameters that have values set by the selected collector. See PATROL for DB2 Universal Database parameters for parameter scheduling (poll time) information.

Warning

Note

The response time to complete this task can vary for the collectors. Some collectors such as the CollDatabase collector, which sets values for a large number of database-related parameters, can take more than a few minutes to refresh.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
