CheckConfig (DB2_PARAM)

Monitors default account user name and password information for a DB2 instance. All parameters monitoring the DB2 instance use the default account information to discover and monitor DB2 resources.
Warning: If an alarm occurs because of invalid account information, the parameters will not collect data and PATROL for DB2 Universal Database KM will not monitor your DB2 instance.

Manual Recovery

If a default account specified for the DB2 instance changes and you do not change the information in PATROL, all the collectors and discovery code may display error messages when they try to execute. Then, when the next execution of CheckConfig runs, all parameters will halt until account information is corrected.

To change login account information, choose Configuration => Configure Default Accounts from the DB2_SETUP menu. When you change a user name or a password, PATROL KM for DB2 Universal Database verifies this information with the operating system. If the information is  not correct, your changes will not occur.
