ConfigUpdates (DB2UDB_COLLECTORS)

The ConfigUpdates parameter checks for changes to the PATROL Configuration Variables.  When a change is detected, this parameter creates an annotation that contains the name of the configuration variable changed and how it changed.

Before a variable change can take effect, the following events must occur:

  1. Discovery or the appropriate parameters complete the next cycle.
  2. ConfigUpdate parameter runs and discovers the new configuration variable.
  3. Discovery or the appropriate parameter completes another cycle after ConfigUpdate discovers the new variable.
  4. If applicable, the appropriate collector parameter updates the effected consumer parameters.

For information about parameter poll times and dependencies see Collector and Consumer Parameter Dependencies and the help topics for any parameters effected by the variable.
