Application class structure in the DB2 UDB EE component

The PATROL for DB2 UDB EE Knowledge Module (KM) includes the following application classes:

  • DB2KM_Setup
  • DB2
  • DB2_DB
  • DB2_APP
  • DB2_AGENT
  • DB2_PARAM
  • DB2_TSP
  • DB2_DIAGLOG
  • DB2_SQL_VIEWER_INST
  • DB2_SQL_VIEWER
  • DB2UDB_BUFFERPOOL
  • DB2_DB_CMDS
  • DB2DB_CAPACITY
  • DB2DB_HADR
  • DB2DB_RECOVERY
  • DB2DB_LOCK
  • DB2DB_LOG
  • DB2DB_PERFORMANCE
  • DB2DB_SQL
  • DB2UDB_COLLECTORS

In the PATROL console, monitored objects are represented by object icons presented in a hierarchical structure. PATROL uses a drill-down methodology which means that you click on a DB2 instance object to access the database objects, and then click the database object and so on to reach the next level in the hierarchy.

The following figure illustrates the application class hierarchy (also known as the knowledge hierarchy) in the PATROL console.
