Configuring tablespace state

You can set options to select the tablespace state - warning or alarm. Using this feature, you will be warned or alarmed on the unwanted tablespace state.

To configure the tablespace state alerts, select the KM Commands > Configuration > Configure Tablespace State Alert menu command from the DB2_SETUP/ DB2EEE_SETUP icon. The Configure Tablespace State Alerts dialog box comprises of the following lists:

  • Tablespace State List
  • Warn List
  • Alert List

Available tablespace states are listed in Tablespace State List .

You can configure all the tablespace states, except normal for warning or alert. When the state is configured in Warn List , the parameter goes into a warning state. When the state is configured in Alert List , the parameter goes into an alarm state. When the state is neither in Warn List nor in Alert List , the parameter remains in ok state.

The tablespace state alert configuration will override the warn/alarm state configuration in the KM tab. The collector will set the parameter state, therefore setting warn/alarm states from the KM tab will have no effect.
