    Warning

    Note

With the DB2 UDB EE component, if you set up a default account for a remote database node, remember to enable remote database discovery for the instance with which the node is associated. Otherwise, no databases at that node will be discovered. You can change the default account user by removing the user and adding another user ID and password. See Managing default accounts for further instructions.

If a problem occurs

Problems might occur if the user ID or password that you enter is invalid. If a message is displayed informing you that you have entered an invalid user ID or password, check the user ID and password to ensure that they are correct. Also, your user ID must have DB2 SYSADM (system administrator) or SYSCTRL (system control) authority or SYSMAINT (system maintenance) for the instances for which you are configuring a default account. If you are not sure that you have a valid user ID and password or the correct authority, contact your system administrator for assistance.
