Configuring PctPagesUsed to recover automatically from an alarm

Use this task to configure the PctPagesUsed parameter to recover automatically from an alarm state (by default, at 95 percent) by adding an additional container to a DMS tablespace when the threshold is exceeded. This procedure is valid on DMS tablespaces.

Before you begin

Before you can access tablespace instances, you must enable tablespace discovery. See ConnToDBOK parameter action.

To configure PctPagesUsed to recover automatically from an alarm

  1. Right-click the tablespace icon and select Config PctPagesUsed Recovery.
     The Config PctPagesUsed Recovery dialog box appears.
  2. In the Base File name box, enter the file name for the container.
  3. In the Number of pages box, enter the number of pages to specify the size of the container.
  4. Click OK.
