Configuring Converged Infrastructure in PATROL Console


You can configure Converged Infrastructure and automatically begin the discovery process by using the following steps:

  1. Right-click Cisco UCS Manager, select KM Commands > Register Cisco UCS Manager Environment. The Register Cisco UCS Manager Environment dialog box is displayed.
  2. In the Host name or IP field, enter the host name of the Cisco UCS Manager.
  3. In the Port field, enter the port number of port used to access Cisco UCS Manager. The default value is 443.
  4. In the User name field, enter the user name used to access the Cisco UCS Manager. The default value is admin.
  5. In the Password field, enter the password associated with your user name.
  6. Disable Enable secure connection (HTTPS enabled by default) to use HTTP protocol and change the port number to 80.
  7. Enable Register vCenter for VSM to configure and integrate vCenter for VSM KM (virtual servers).
  8. Enable Register Cisco Nexus to configure and integrate with Cisco Nexus KM.
  9. Click OK.
  10. If you have enabled Register vCenter for VSM, the Register vCenter for VSM KM dialog box is displayed. Enter the following access details for the vCenter:

    vCenter Host name

    Host name of the vCenter

    vCenter Port

    Port used to access the vCenter (443 by default)

    vCenter User name

    User name for access to the vCenter

    vCenter Password

    Password for access to the vCenter

  11. If you have enabled Register Cisco Nexus, the Register Cisco Nexus Switch dialog box is displayed. Enter the user name and password used to access the switch and fabric interconnections, as follows:

    User name used to access all Fabric Interconnections

    Common Password

    Password used to access all Fabric Interconnections

    Warning

    Note

    The KM must use same user name and password for all the Fabric Interconnects. However, if you need to use different credentials for some Fabric Interconnect switches, then use Cisco Nexus KM configuration commands.

     When monitoring Cisco Nexus switches, then the switches are displayed using the IP address of the switch and not the Host name.
