Configuring in a BMC PATROL environment

This section provides information about how to begin configuring and using the PATROL product for the Citrix XenServer product. In this section, the term Knowledge Module (KM) is usually equivalent to a .kml file. A .km file is equivalent to an application class, which is a subset of a KM or .kml file.

After you install PATROL for Citrix XenServer, you must perform the following tasks:

  1. Create a connection between PATROL for Citrix XenServer and the Citrix XenServer environment. To do this, you need to add hosts (XenServers) to the Citrix XenServer environment. For more information, see Configuring-XenServers
  2. Configure hosts (XenServers) for performance data collection. For more information, see Configuring-hosts-XenServers-for-performance-data-collection.
