Citrix XenApp is an on-demand application delivery solution that allows apps to be virtualized, centralized, and managed in the datacenter and instantly delivered as a service to users anywhere.
Knowledge Modules (KM) provide information for the way monitored computers are represented in the BMC PATROL interface, for the discovery of application instances and the way they are represented. It also provides information for the parameters that are run under those applications, and for the options available on object pop-up menus.
BMC PATROL for Citrix XenApp contains the knowledge in the form of monitor types and attributes which is used to discover, monitor, analyze and manage the Citrix XenApp farms and resources.
To monitor a Citrix XenApp environment, you can add a farm and provide connection information for a single server in the farm. With this information all the servers are automatically discovered for that farm. You can also monitor the status of a farm, get a count of total, active and disconnected sessions in the farm and a count of available concurrent user licenses in the farm.
BMC PATROL for Citrix XenApp fetches performance data such as number of resolution work items that are ready to be executed, number of minutes the server has been disconnected from license server or data store, number of users that are logged into the server, a count of active, total and disconnected sessions, for servers and published applications.
