Performing the installation
BMC PATROL for Cisco Nexus is available for installation through PATROL consoles.
For PATROL consoles, the installation method differs depending on which console you want to use for installation. You can use either the installation utility or Distribution Server.
The following sections provide information about various installation methods:
Before you begin
- You should first install the product on a limited number of computers in the test environment. Test the installation thoroughly before installing in your production environment.
- Create the PATROL default account. For the account requirements on Windows and UNIX, see Preparing-for-installation.
- Before installing the product, stop the PATROL Agent. After installing, restart the PATROL Agent.
