Verifying the XML Agent

To validate that the XML Agent is enabled on the target switch, perform the following:

  1. Using an SSH client such as PUTTY, connect to the target switch.
  2. Enter the following command:
    $ xmlAgent
  3. Verify that you receive a short XML based response.

Note

BMC PATROL for Cisco Nexus does not require activation of an SNMP Agent to monitor the system.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
