Managing PATROL Agent configuration variables

The BMC PATROL Agent configuration is implemented and saved in a set of configuration variables stored in each agent's PATROL Configuration Database. You can control the PATROL Agent configuration by changing the values of these configuration variables.

You can manage configuration variables by using pconfig utility or PATROL Configuration Manager.

For more information about using PATROL Configuration Manager, see Using-PATROL-Configuration-Manager-for-configuration.

For detailed information about the pconfig utility (wpconfig on Microsoft Windows, xpconfig on UNIX), see the following:

  • For summary information about wpconfig, see the PATROL Console for Microsoft Windows User Guide - Customizing PATROL, Volume 3 in PDFs.
  • For detailed information about how to use pconfig, see the description for using the utility in the BMC PATROL Agent space.

For a list of PATROL Agent configuration variables used by BMC PATROL for Application Management, see PATROL-Agent-configuration-variables.
