In the Account Label feild, specify a name to identify the Amazon Web Services account.
- In the Access Key box, specify the access key ID provided by Amazon.
- In the Secret Key box, specify the secure access key provided by Amazon.
(Optional) In the Region Filter field, specify the regions that should be included or excluded from monitoring and enable the Include or Exclude option accordingly.
- You must specify the internal name of the regions.
- Use a comma separator to provide more than one region in this field.
- If you do not provide any value in this field, all the regions will be considered.
- (Optional) In the Tag Filter field, specify EC2 tags to include exclude instances for monitoring, and enable the Include or Exclude option accordingly.
- EC2 with tags(Key=Value) can be filtered by specifying the tag in the Tag Filter field.
- Use a comma separator to specify more than one tag.
- You can use Java Regular Expression for specifying Tag filter values. Following are the rules to build regular expression for Tag values:
- Tag values having word Production: Production or Prod*
- Tag values matching to exact Production: ^Production$
Tag values ending with word Production: Production$
- If you want to search for multiple values for same Tag keys, then regular expression must be used. For example; if you want the instances for Tags having Production and Development as values then, Name=Production|Developement filter can be used. You can also use Name=^Production$|Development$ filter for exact value matching.
- Click Add to add the Amazon Web Services account.
- Click Apply.
- Click Exit.
The Amazon Web Services account is added and the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS), Amazon Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) and Amazon Relational Database Services (RDS) instances are discovered.
