This section provides release-specific information about requirements and supported resources of the PATROL for Agent High Availability product.

Support for third-party products

To receive full support for a BMC product, you must have that product installed in a supported environment, as specified in the BMC product documentation. If a third-party vendor cancels support for one of its products (such as an operating system or subsystem), and that third-party product integrates or interacts with the BMC product you have licensed, you must upgrade to a supported version of that third-party product before BMC Customer Support can provide you with support for the affected BMC product. For further information, see BMC's product support policy.

Before installing the PATROL for Agent High Availability Knowledge Module, make sure the following for a high-availability configuration:

  • Each server in the high-availability setup meets the specified system requirements, including supported operating systems and PATROL product versions, as outlined in the table below. Also, verify that the installation account on each server has the necessary privileges.
  • To confirm that this KM is compatible with your high-availability environment, check that all required Knowledge Modules can be installed on each server in the configuration. For the latest supported operating systems, refer to the PATROL solution release notes.

Important: PATROL for Agent High Availability Knowledge Module version 23.4.02 is the minimum required version for compatibility with PATROL Agent version 24.3.01 and later.

Note: When using a setup of the Notification Server and the remote agent(s), the version of PATROL Agents across the systems must be the same. For example, all PATROL Agents installed on the Notification Server and Remote Agents must be version 10.0.00.
