Product overview


PATROL for AIX reports and monitors availability and performance across critical areas of your AIX operating system. It issues visual warnings and alarms when thresholds are exceeded, allowing easy identification of problem areas. The KM provides the following features:

  • Monitor CPU, SMP, Kernel, Memory, System swap files, Network, Network File Systems, Process, User, Filesystems, Process, User, Disk and I/O, AIX Virtualization, PowerVM environment, Shared Ethernet Adapters
  • Support for local and remote monitoring of the AIX OS 
  • Cross platform monitoring
  • Ability to add multiple hosts for remote monitoring 
  • Remote monitoring of AIX using Windows PATROL Agent
  • Monitor Active Memory Expansion and Active Memory Sharing

View graphs created by using the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the monitor type. By using the graphing options, you can dynamically change the metric or other graph data. 

Graph data can be viewed hourly, weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
