Select Log Files to collect dialog box

Use the Select Log Files to Collect dialog box to write the selected log files along with the output file generated by Capture AIX Diagnostics process to a AIX tar file, whose name and location you specify.

This dialog box is applicable to BMC PATROL Console only.

Configuration details

To access this dialog box, right-click the AIX OS node and select KM Commands > Debug and Diagnostics > Create Diagnostic Report > Select Log Files > OK. This dialog box contains the following items:

Description

All Logs Contained in $PATROL_HOME/log Directory

Places in the designated tar file all log files written to the $PATROL_HOME/log directory

Agent Error Log

Places in the designated tar file the PATROL Agent error log

Output Tar File

The name and location of the tar file into which the selected log files are written

Accept

Applies your changes

Cancel

Closes the dialog box and does not run the recovery action
