Defining a Real User Analyzer and setting up a connection with BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring
- From the PATROL Console work area, right-click the End User Experience icon.
- Choose KM Commands > End User Experience Configuration.
- If at least one Real User Analyzer has already been defined, select one of the following actions in the Manage-Real-User-Analyzers-dialog-box:
- To define a new connection to a Real User Analyzer, select Add and then click Apply.
- To edit the definitions of a Real User Analyzer, select the Analyzer (identified by host and description) and Edit, and then click Apply.
- To delete a previously defined Real User Analyzer, select the Analyzer and Delete, and click Apply. Then click OK to confirm the deletion.
- In the Add/Edit Real User Analyzer dialog box, enter the required information, as follows:
- Host: The name or IP address of the virtual machine where the Real User Analyzer resides. You cannot edit this value in a previously defined Analyzer.
- Port: The number of the port for connecting to the Real User Analyzer
- User: A user with either Admin or Observer permissions for logging on to the Real User Analyzer
- Password: Password for the specified user
- Description: An optional textual description for the Real User Analyzer
- Click Next.
- Continue with the task of selecting Watchpoints and Geo Locations to monitor.
