User goals and features

Using the BMC PATROL Knowledge Module for End User Experience Management product, you can  to perform the following actions:

  • Monitor real web traffic based on data obtained by BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring through packet capture analysis, which involves passive watching of transactions performed by real users
  • Monitor synthetic transaction response times from BMC Synthetic End User Experience Monitoring, which measures application health based on end-user experience metrics, such as availability, accuracy, and performance
  • Obtain detailed metrics regarding availability, volume of traffic, and performance measurements for the monitoring of Watchpoints, which are precise segments of web traffic
  • Obtain detailed metrics for the monitoring of Geo Locations associated with Watchpoints for real and synthetic traffic
  • Produce historical performance charts and status views
  • Baseline any performance data from the Watchpoints and Geo Locations to produce predictive alerts
  • Raise intelligent alerts and incidents to the service desk for resolution
  • Integrate the monitoring of BMC Real End User Experience Monitoring into BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management, perform all configuration through the BMC ProactiveNet Central Monitoring Administration console, and transfer all monitoring data to BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management
  • Associate Watchpoints with BMC Atrium CMDB configuration items (CIs), enabling BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management to propagate events for Watchpoints to BMC Atrium CMDB and display the health of Watchpoint-associated CIs through the BMC Application Performance Management Console
