Performing the installation

BMC PATROL Knowledge Module for End User Experience Management (BMC PATROL KM for End User Experience Management) is available for installation through BMC PATROL consoles and BMC ProactiveNet Operations Console.

For BMC PATROL consoles, the installation method differs depending on which console you want to use for installation. You can use either the installation utility or Distribution Server.

The following sections provide information about the installation methods:

Before you begin

• Install the product on a limited number of computers in the test environment, and test the installation thoroughly before installing in your production environment.
• Before you start installing the product, stop the PATROL Agent. After you install the product, restart the PATROL Agent.
