Requirement of JDK by the PATROL Agent

The BMC PATROL Knowledge Module for BMC Remedy AR System Servere requires Java JDK version 1.6 to be installed on the PATROL Agent in which you run the knowledge modules. The PATROL Agent does not have to reside on the AR Server.

Installing JDK

Perform the following step to install JDK:

  1. Go to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html.
  2. Double-click JDK Download.

  3. Accept the license agreement and select Windows x64 (64-bit version for Microsoft Windows) or Windows x64 (32-bit version for Microsoft Windows):

  4. Install JDK in the default directory.

Note

You must restart the server after JDK is installed. If not, you will get messages in the system output window.
