Configuring the BMC Remedy AR System
Perform the following steps to configure monitoring of general BMC Remedy Action Request System Server (BMC Remedy AR System Server) and monitoring of grouped servers.
General settings for BMC Remedy AR System Server
You must have AR Administrator privileges with read and write permission on the Remedy AR Server.
To set up Server Statistics, perform the following configuration steps:
- In a browser or BMC Remedy User, open the AR System Administration Console, and click System > General > Server Information.
The AR System Administration: Server Information form is displayed. - Click the Advanced tab.
- In the Server Statistics panel, enter values for the following fields:
- For Server Recording Mode, select Cumulative Queue to record a cumulative statistic, or Cumulative and Individual Queue to record a combination of queue statistics and statistics for each queue individually.
- Set the Recording Interval (seconds) to specify the frequency at which the server records statistics.
Settings for monitoring grouped servers
The following configuration steps must be performed to successfully set up monitoring of grouped servers:
- In a browser or BMC Remedy User, open the AR System Administration Console, and select System > General > Server Information.
The AR System Administration: Server Information form is displayed. - Click the Advanced tab.
- On the Server Group panel, enter values for the following fields:
- Server Group Name is used to specify the name of the group to which the server belongs. All servers in the group share this name.
- Check Interval (seconds) is used to specify the frequency at which the server communicates with other servers in the group.
