Installing

BMC Installation Utility does not require to be installed.

To start using the installation utility for a BMC product:

  1. Copy the BMC Installation Utility and the product in a temporary folder.
  2. Extract the installation utility.
     This will create a bmc_products folder with its folder structure in the temporary folder and the files will be extracted to this folder.
  3. Extract the product.
     The product installable files will be extracted in the bmc_products folder.
  4. From the bmc_products folder, run setup.exe for installing the product in the Windows environment or setup.sh for installing the product in UNIX environment.
