Event Formats
The event formats are stored in pconfig and an active parameter is available for each event format, that allows you to enable events of a particular format to be sent to the BMC ProactiveNet Event Manager.
Active variable
The active variable can be set at three levels in the pconfig tree hierarchy. These are the Catalog, Event Class, and the KM Class. The variable value set at a lower level in the hierarchy always overrides the values set at a higher level in the hierarchy.
For example,
- /EventSetup/Format/BiiP3/catalogs/0/active = { REPLACE = "0"}
Disables event forwarding for all events generated for STD (0) Event Catalog. - /EventSetup/Format/BiiP3/catalogs/0/types/11/active = { REPLACE = "1"}
Enables event forwarding for all events of Type 11 of STD Catalog to the BMC ProactiveNet Event Manager. - /EventSetup/Format/BiiP3/catalogs/0/types/11/KM/AS_EVENTSPRING/active = { REPLACE = "0"}
Disables event forwarding of all events of Type 11 events generated by the AS_EVENTSPRING KM. - /EventSetup/Format/BiiP3/catalogs/AS_EVENTSPRING/types/NOTIFY_EVENT/active = { REPLACE = "1"}
Enables event forwarding for Notify Events to the BMC ProactiveNet Event Manager.
