unset()


Remove a PATROL object that was previously assigned by the set() function.

Syntax

unset(object)

text string name of the PATROL object that is to be removed by the unset() function The object must have been created by the set() function and the caller must have write permission to object.

Description

The unset() function removes the value of object that was previously assigned by the set() function. The unset() function always returns the NULL string and will set the PSL variable errno = 96 (E_PSL_BAD_FUNCTION_PARAMETER) ifobject is not found or if the caller does not have read permission to object.
