Installing


As an administrator, use BMC Helix Operations Management or TrueSight Operations Management to help keep your environment up and running at all times. To enable monitoring, the first step is to install the PATROL Agent on the target computer. The PATROL Agent is responsible for collecting metrics that contain information about the health and availability of the components of the environment. 

The following table describes the actions required to install and configure the PATROL Agent for effective monitoring with BMC Helix Operations Management:
