Restoring access in case of lockout


If the Access Control List (ACL) is improperly set up, all user accounts can be denied access to the agent.

To restore access to the agent

  1. Stop PATROL Agent service.
  2. Change the directory to %PATROL_HOME%\config. 

    Warning

    If you delete the agent configuration change file, you will lose all the customizations made to the file.

  3. Delete the port-specific configuration in this directory. For example, config_<hostname>-<portnumber>.
  4. Restart the PATROL Agent and apply the correct access control list by using the pconfig variable in the /AgentSetup/accessControlList directory.
