Authenticating with Microsoft Teams

As a tenant administrator, you authenticate BMC Helix Service Monitoring console with Microsoft Teams to enable service designers to create policies, which send notifications to users or channels in Microsoft Teams for impacted services and situations.

To authenticate with Microsoft Teams

  1. In the BMC Helix Service Monitoring console, click Configurations > Manage Notifications.
The Manage Notifications page displays instructions on how to authenticate.
  2. Click Generate URL and then click the link that is displayed on the page.
You can also copy and paste the URL into a browser.
  3. On the Microsoft Teams account page, enter the Microsoft Teams administrator credentials and click Sign In
A message appears if your authentication is successful.
  4. Click Get Started.
The Manage Microsoft Teams Notifications page appears. You can now create notifications to send to Microsoft Teams channels or users.
If permissions are modified in Microsoft Azure application any time, you must click Re-authenticate and do these steps again to grant the updated permissions.

Where to go from here

After the authentication is successful, you can create, edit, view, and delete notifications
