Monitoring ML-based situations


As an operator or a custom user with view situations permission, you can monitor both policy-based and AIOps situations. Each situation is represented as a tile in the view and can be investigated individually to close the situation or take a remediate action.

The policy-based policy_based_situation_icon_213.png and AIOps-based ml-situations_icon_213.png situations can be identified from their respective icons in the tile. Use the following options to display the policy-based and AIOps situations:

  • AIOps situations (requires enabling the AIOps Situations feature). 
  • Policy-based situation (enabled out-of-the-box)

Click Situations to view all situations that are identified from the BMC Helix Operations Management correlated events or by the AIOps algorithm from the impacted services.

The Situations page displays situation tiles with the severity(color-coded), priority(color-coded), event count for situations, status, and an investigate button for each situation for closing it or remediate open events. You can configure the advanced settings to display policy-based situations along with ML-based situations. The following image shows various situations:
