Migrating pconfig rules
Use the pcmtopolicyconverter toolkit to migrate pconfig rules into monitoring policies. You can then migrate the monitoring policies to BMC Helix Operations Management.
Monitoring policies are the output of the pcmtopolicyconverter tool. With this tool, policies from TrueSight Operations Management are migrated as monitor or alarm policies in BMC Helix Operations Management.
Migrate the following pconfg rules to TrueSight Operations Management policies:
- PATROL for Log Monitoring rules
- UNIX Process rules to the UNIX KM process
- UNIX Process rules to the Linux, HP, AIX, or Solaris KM process
- Window Services rules
Migrate the following pconfg rules to TrueSight Operations Management thresholds:
- Tuning rules
- EventSpring rules
