Migrating and upgrading PATROL Agents

Use the bhomagentmigrationtools toolkit to migrate PATROL Agents.

Before the migration, ensure that the PATROL Agent is TLS-enabled and is upgraded to the latest version. If the PATROL Agent is not TLS-enabled, perform the following steps:

1. Upgrade the PATROL Agent to version 22.1.00.02i or its latest patch.
2. Upgrade the Agent to the latest version.

If the PATROL Agent is TLS-enabled, upgrade it to the latest version.

With the bhomagentmigrationtools toolkit, you can perform the following actions:

• Export a list of PATROL Agents and their ports from TrueSight Operations Management to a file.
• Migrate the PATROL Agents that are listed in the exported file to connect to the BMC Helix Operations Management tenant.
  During this migration, the following pconfig variables are set:
  • BMC Helix Operations Management server host
  • BMC Helix Operations Management server API key
  • Precedence
  • Proxy host
  • Proxy user
