Monitoring policy-based situations

As an operator or a custom user with view situations permission, you can monitor policy-based situations. Each situation is represented as a tile in the view and can be investigated individually to close the situation or take a remediate action.

To monitor situations

Click Situations to view all situations and the following details:

  • Situation name
  • Time it occurred
  • Related events
  • Type (policy or ML-based)
  • Severity (color-coded)
  • Priority (color-coded)
  • Status (color-coded)
  • Incident ID
  • Automations (If available)

You can search for a situation based on the name (case-sensitive).

Use the situation filter to view situations based on their status. By default, the filter is set to display open situations. You can change it to All Situations or Closed to view situations accordingly. If you are searching for a situation, the results appear based on the selected filter.

Sorting is available for the Occurred, Severity, Priority, and Status columns. To customize the columns that appear on the list view, click Column selector.pngand clear the columns that you do not want to appear. Only selected columns appear on the Situations page.

Alternatively, click Tile View.png(Tile view) to view the situations in a tile view. Situation tiles with the severity(color-coded), priority(color-coded), event count for situations, status, and an investigate button for each situation for closing it or remediate open events is displayed.
