Remote Agent
Description
A Netreo remote agent is a lightweight application that runs on a remote machine to collect various statistics and then push those collected stats to Netreo. Due to its simplicity, the remote agent device type is considered a Lite device, and consumes 0.1 of a device license when deployed.
When a remote agent is deployed for use in Netreo, it consists of two parts:
- The managed device representing the agent within Netreo. This is used for monitoring the agent and controlling its settings. It is treated as any other managed device within Netreo, which includes having a Device Dashboard.
- The actual agent application. This is an application running on the system you wish to monitor. It connects to your Netreo deployment and is associated with the managed device above.
