How to log in

To log in to BMC Helix Network Management as a web user:

1. Open a supported web browser  and in the address bar, enter either:
   • The appropriate SaaS URL for your region (see SaaS URL Information by Geographic Region) or,
   • the IP address assigned to your BMC Helix Network Management virtual appliance (for BMC Helix Network Management on-premises deployments)
2. At the log in screen, enter the username and password for the account you would like to log in under and click the Log In button. (Additional help is available by clicking the "I Need Help" link below the Log In button.)
   • If you're logging in to an on-premise appliance, the dialog shows the IP address of the BMC Helix Network Management appliance you are about to log into beneath the BMC Helix Network Management logo.
   • If you are logging in for the first time as the primary administrator, the login defaults are:
     • Username: administrator
     • Password: administrator
3. Once your login has been accepted, you will be taken to the home page.
   • If the default dashboard for the user logging in has not been changed in User Management or User Preferences, it will show the Consolidated Dashboard.
4. When you are ready to logout, click the user menu icon on the right side of the menu bar and select Sign out.
