Handling overwritten docker images


The system continuously monitors the approved training and prediction images associated with custom models. If any of these images are overwritten without approval, the notification alerts you that the Docker image has been updated without authorization. The subsequent training and deployment processes will fail due to the unauthorized image change.

To manage overwritten images

  1. On the BMC Helix Edge page, navigate to Intelligence and click Machine Learning.
  2. Click Manage Algorithm.
    The table displays the list of algorithm types with corresponding columns.
  3. Under the Status column heading, roll the mouse over the image-2025-1-29_15-23-49.png icon. 
    The system displays the following message:

  1. Click the custom algorithm type (BYOA) to edit.
    The system displays the corresponding custom algorithm page as follows:

  2. Review the changes made to the overwritten image file, and do one of the following:

    The changes are valid and acceptable

    1. Click Approve New Image & Save.
      The system displays the confirmation message.
    2. Click Save.
      This system approves the updated Docker image and uses the updated image for training and deployment.

    You do not approve of the changes

    The system requires the previously approved and valid Docker image. You must revert the image in the registry to this version.
