Duplicating an algorithm

BMC ships with pre-built algorithms for basic common tasks. However, these may not be ideal for all data or specific needs. If you want slightly different versions of the same algorithm type for different datasets or specific use cases, you can clone the algorithm and modify the algorithm, to suit your requirements without starting from scratch each time.

To duplicate an algorithm

  1. On the BMC Helix Edge page, navigate to Intelligence and click Machine Learning.
  2. Click Manage Algorithm.
    The table displays the list of algorithms with corresponding columns.
  3. Select an algorithm to duplicate from the list and then click Duplicate algorithm.
  4. In the Duplicate algorithm popup, do the following:
    1. In the Name field, rename the algorithm for easy
      By default, the system appends Copy to the end of the existing algorithm name.
    2. In the Description field, briefly describe the algorithm's purpose and intended use.
    3. Click Duplicate.


 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
