Authenticating with Microsoft Teams

Administrators can create notification policies to send notifications to users or channels in Microsoft Teams for impacted services and situations. First, you authenticate BMC Helix AIOps with Microsoft Teams and then establish a connection.

To authenticate with Microsoft Teams

  1. Select Configurations > Manage Notifications. to view the Manage Notifications page, which displays instructions about how to authenticate.
  2. Click Generate URL and then click the URL that is displayed on the page.
You can also copy and paste the URL into a browser.
  3. On the Microsoft Teams account page, enter the Microsoft Teams administrator credentials and click Sign In
If successful, a confirmation message appears.
  4. Click Get Started.
You are redirected to the Manage Microsoft Teams Notifications page in BMC Helix AIOps. You can now create notifications to send to Microsoft Teams channels or users.

    Important

If permissions are modified in Microsoft Azure application after you have completed these steps, the connection is terminated in BMC Helix AIOps. You must click Re-authenticate and do these steps again to grant the updated permissions.

Where to go from here

After the authentication is successful, you can create, edit, view, and delete notifications
