Uninstalling the Agent for .NET
This topic provides information about how to uninstall the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent for .NET:
To uninstall the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent for .NET in interactive mode
- Log on with administrator privileges to the server on which BMC Application Diagnostics Agent for .NET is installed.
- Launch the uninstallation wizard:
- Windows 2003
- From the Start menu, click Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
- Locate and select BMC Application Diagnostics - Agent for .NET, and click Remove.
- Windows 2008
- From the Control Panel, select Programs and Features.
- Right-click BMC Application Diagnostics Server - Agent for .NET and click Uninstall.
- Windows 2003
- In the Confirm Uninstall message box, click OK to remove BMC Application Diagnostics Agent for .NET and all its features.
- In the next message box, click Yes to agree to restart IIS services.
If you click No, the uninstallation process ends. - In the Maintenance Complete Summary, click Finish to complete the uninstallation process.
To uninstall the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent for .NET in silent mode
- Navigate to <agentInstallationDirectory>\Uninstall and open the agent-silent-uninstall-option.txt file for editing.
Enter the correct values for the Agent configuration parameters:
RemoveAgent=No
RestartIIS=YesThe Agent configuration parameters are described in the following table:
Agent configuration parameters- Save and close the agent-silent-uninstall-option.txt file.
- In a command line, navigate to the <agentInstallationDirectory>\Uninstall folder.
Run the silent uninstall command:
uninstall.bat
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
