Deleting an Agent Policy file


You can delete policy files that are no longer in use. If a policy is applied to an Agent and then you delete the policy, the Agents are automatically associated with the default policy.

You cannot delete the following types of policy files:

  • Built-in policy with a lock icon ico_lock_readonly.png
  • Policy that is set as the default policy

To delete a policy file

  1. From the Diagnostics tab, select Administration > Agent Policies.
  2. On the Agent Policies window, from the arrow menu in the far-right column of the policy you want to delete, select Delete.
  3. In the confirmation message, click OK.
     The policy file is deleted. Agents that were associated with the deleted policy now use the default policy.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
