Sharing contents of the Console's dashboard

You can use the contents of dashboards and dashlets outside the system, for example, embedded it in third-party web applications.

The contents of shared dashboards and dashlets are available to any users, regardless of the product permissions. However, dashboard and dashlets that are requested by the shared URL do not support drill-downs.

To share a dashboard

  1. In a BMC Application Performance Management Console, point to Application Management > Dashboards, and click on the dashboard title.
  2. From the Action menu, click Share dashboard.
  3. Copy the URL and share it with the interested persons, or embed it in an external application.

To share a dashlet

  1. In a BMC Application Performance Management Console, point to Application Management > Dashboards, and click on the dashboard title.
  2. In a dashlets pane, point to the arrow button.png in the upper-right corner and select Share dashlet.
  3. Copy the URL and share it with the interested persons, or embed it in an external application.

Tip

To ensure correct display of dashboards or dashlets embedded into third-party web applications, make sure your web server supports self-signed server certificate from BMC Application Diagnostics.
