User roles


BMC Application Diagnostics differentiates among types of users. Your role determines the privileges you have to access certain features. When you log on, your user role determines which features you can use.

Users roles determine the level and complexity of issues you are expected to resolve.

All users must be logged on through an account. An account has a user name, a role, and a password.

To access BMC Application Diagnostics, you must log on to the BMC Application Performance Management Console. When you log on to the Console, the Console roles are used to determine the availability of features and authorization to perform actions.

Note

Only users with System Administrator roles will be able to access the Administration link to make any configuration changes.
