Uninstalling the server on Linux


Warning

All the data stored for the component you are uninstalling will be deleted. To retain this data, you must back up the database before continuing with the uninstallation process.

Note

Before uninstalling, ensure that you have set the DISPLAY environment variable.

  1. Log on with root privileges to the server on which BMC Application Diagnostics is installed.
  2. In a command line, navigate to the folder in which BMC Application Diagnostics is installed, for example:
    /opt/bmc/BMC_Application_Diagnostics/ UninstallBMCADOPServer (default installation directory that comes with the Installer).
  3. Run the command ./uninstall.sh
  4. The BMC Application Diagnostics Server 2.1.00 Uninstaller opens. In the Welcome screen, click Next.
  5. In the Features screen, select the components you want to uninstall and then click Next
  6. In the Uninstallation Preview screen, review the features selected , and click Uninstall to proceed.
  7. In the Uninstallation Summary screen, click Done to complete the uninstallation process. If you want to verify the uninstallation process before exiting the uninstallation wizard, click View Log to view the adopserver_uninstall_log.txt file.
  8. Click Done to exit.

Notes

  • The uninstallation log files can be viewed in the /tmp directory.
  • All directories and files are deleted during the uninstallation process.
