Installing the agent for Java

Perform the following procedures to install the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent for Java on an application or web server.

Before you begin

Before you begin, ensure that you review known and corrected issues.

To install the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent for Java

  1. Ensure that you have completed all preinstallation tasks.
  2. Install the agent for Java by using one of the following methods:
  3. Verify the agent for Java installation.
  4. Perform post installation configuration:
    1. Update the Java options according the application server type.
    2. Grant Java 2 permissions.
    3. If required, change security settings.
