Upgrading

This topic provides procedures for upgrading the BMC Application Diagnostics Server and the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent from a previous version to version 1.3.x.

Before you begin

Warning

You must back up the database. Otherwise, all existing information is permanently deleted when you upgrade.

To upgrade the BMC Application Diagnostics Server

  1. Back up the database.
  2. Uninstall the BMC Application Diagnostics Server:
  3. Install the BMC Application Diagnostics Server 1.3.x.
  4. Restore the database data.

To upgrade the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent

  1. Uninstall the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent:
  2. Install the BMC Application Diagnostics Agent 1.3.x.
