Uninstalling the BMC Application Diagnostics Server on Windows in interactive mode


  1. Log on with administrator privileges to the server on which BMC Application Diagnostics is installed.
  2. Launch the uninstallation wizard:
    • In Windows 2003:
       From the Start menu, click Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. Locate and select BMC Application Diagnostics Server 1.3.00, and click Remove.
    • In Windows 2008:
       From the Control Panel, select Programs and Features. Right-click BMC Application Diagnostics Server 1.3.00 and click Uninstall.

  3. In the Welcome screen, click Next.
  4. In the Features screen, select the components you want to uninstall and then click Next. Select the BMC Application Diagnostics Server check box if you want to uninstall all components. If you want to uninstall just one of the components, select either the BMC Application Diagnostics Portal or BMC Application Diagnostics Collector check box.
  5. Enter the MySQL root password for cleaning the database tables. Leave the default if you have not changed the root password since installation, and click Next to continue.

    Warning

    All the data stored for the component you are uninstalling will be deleted. To retain this data, you must back up the existing information before continuing with the uninstallation process.

  6. In the Uninstallation Preview screen, review the features selected, and click Uninstall to proceed.
  7. In the Uninstallation Summary screen, click Done to complete the uninstallation process. If you want to verify the uninstallation process before exiting the uninstallation wizard, click View Log to view the adopserver_uninstall_log.txt file.
  8. Manually delete the ADOP_JRE and UninstallBMCADPServer folders located in the BMC Application Diagnostics Server installation folder.
Warning

Notes

  • You can view the uninstallation log files in the %temp% folder.
  • BMC Application Diagnostics tables will be deleted from your MySQL Server 5.5. database during the uninstallation process.
