Viewing a list of BMC Application Diagnostics Agents


The list of BMC Application Diagnostics Agents enables you to view the availability status of each agent and the name of the applied policy file. You can select and delete BMC Application Diagnostics Agents that are no longer required.

To view the list of BMC Application Diagnostics Agents

From the Diagnostics tab, click Administration > Agents.

A list of current BMC Application Diagnostics Agents is displayed with the following information in the sortable columns:

  • Checkbox
     Select the checkbox to delete Agents that are no longer required.
  • Status
     An icon indicating the availability status of each Agent, as described in the following table.
    The [confluence_table-plus] macro is a standalone macro and it cannot be used inline.
  • Name
     The name of the Agent.
  • Version
     The version number of the Agent installation.
  • Platform
     Displays the platform on which the Agent is running – Java or .NET.
  • Application Server
     The application server on which the Agent is running.
  • Applied Policy
     The name of the policy file applied to the Agent.

To delete a BMC Application Diagnostics Agent

Note

You cannot delete an online BMC Application Diagnostics Agent.

  1. In the left column of the Agents list, select one or more agents that you want to delete.
     If you select an Agent with associated data, the Agent name turns red.

    Note

    When you delete an Agent with associated data, the Agent is removed from the Portal, and all associated data is not displayed in the console. However, if you reconnect the same Agent to the same Portal, and the Portal is still connected to the Collector with all the saved Agent records, the associated data will be displayed in the console.

  2. Click the Delete Agents button, located at the top of the list.
  3. Click OK to confirm deletion.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
